CCOM X Release 3-26

CCOM X Release 3-26

Release Notes – March 2026

In the March release, we focused on improving existing features and fixing critical bugs to ensure a smoother and more reliable workflow. We have also enhanced the visual experience by introducing colours and a new matrix view for competence requirements.

Read more about the new features, improvements, and bug fixes below.

🌟 New Features

▦ Competence Requirements for Roles

You can now add competence requirements directly to roles assigned to employees, in addition to the existing competence requirements linked to job positions.

These requirements are added in the same way as for job positions, but through an additional field, as illustrated below.

When searching for a specific competence requirement, you can also see which roles and job positions it is assigned to.

✅ One-Time Maintenance Jobs

It is now possible to create maintenance jobs without an interval. These one-time jobs remain in the active job list until they are performed and are then automatically moved to a new Completed tab.

Jobs without an interval—including those with an expiry date—are removed from the active list immediately after completion, ensuring a clear separation between active and completed work. This behavior is aligned with the existing implementation in the Task module.

📊 Matrix View for Competence Requirements

Competence requirements in the Admin section can now be displayed in a matrix view, in addition to the familiar list view.

The matrix view provides a significantly better overview, especially for shipping companies with multiple vessels. Managers can choose which department to display in the matrix, making it easier to focus on relevant competence requirements across vessels and departments — a selection that is not available in the list view.

The matrix allows effortless switching between List View and Matrix View, and can also be opened in fullscreen mode for an even clearer overview.

🎨 Color Indicators for Risk Assessments

Risk assessments are now visually marked with the three standard risk colours for both initial risk and residual risk in the list view, making it easier to identify risk levels at a glance.

🔍 Search for Privileges in Job Positions

You can now quickly find specific privileges within job positions by typing a keyword into the search field.

🐞 Bug Fixes & Improvements

👥 Shift & Manning (ABSM / TBSM)

  1. Historical information in shifts registered in Planned Activities is no longer affected by changes in current or planned deviations.
  2. Activities now display not only from–to dates, but also the exact start and end time. This reduces the risk of overlapping activities or trips, as users can clearly see when the previous activity or trip ended and avoid starting a new one before that time.

  1. Planned activities from the previous year are now correctly shown in the table view.

📋 Reports

  1. The Short Description field has been adjusted, allowing you to define how many characters are permitted in the description.

Alert
You can change this setting in Admin → Reports → Report Settings, as shown below.

  1. Reports with open subtasks can no longer be closed.
  2. Confidential reports are now visible to users whose role is assigned as responsible for follow‑up and report closure.
