Release Notes for 22/01/2024


We are pleased to deliver our latest software update, which now includes Microsoft's .NET 8 framework. We apologize for the time it took to implement this upgrade. For us, it was necessary to do it now, to ensure the best protection against hacking and data theft. This was something that had to be done, and we chose to do it as soon as the new technology became available. Many improvements and bug fixes have also been carried out, which can be seen in the lists below. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. 

🚀Feature Updates 

  1. Protection against hacking: .NET 8 introduces additional cryptographic features, including support for SHA-3, which secures the system against hacking and cybercrime. This is in line with current requirements for information security. 
  2. Increased maintainability: .NET 8 makes it easier to maintain our application, reducing any potential downtime.

🛠️ Improvements 

General 
  1. Fixed an issue where server timeout would occur when displaying user details in Users & Pax /  Users as admin. 
  2. Fixed an issue where users without privileges could see entries about Medicine and other items. 
  3. Fixed a dating issue where the wrong year would show in the Last Performed and Due Date columns. 
  4. Removed search bars from Storage and Medicines Module due to redundancy. 
  5. Fixed a design issue where data tables from Risk Assessment, Storage, Medicines, Drills and Tasks Module would overlap with the bottom right navigation interface. 
  6. Added a 'Use' button interface for Storage and Medicines Module items. 
  7. Enabled the ability to copy menu items with their contents. Affects Maintenance Module and Drills Module. 

Non-conformance Module 
  1. Fixed a design issue where a dropdown element scrolled along the rest of the window when it should be fixed. 
  2. Fixed an issue where the notification engine would send emails to deactivated users. 
  3. Fixed an issue where anonymous non-conformance entries would not show up when the user selected responsible for follow up and responsible for closing. 
  4. Fixed an issue where old values were being sent when users tried sending anonymous reports. 
  5. Added new position input field for Longitude & Latitude. 
Risk Assessment Module 
  1. Fixed a problem when users entered the comma character it resulted in line shift and carriage return. 

🐞Bug fixes 

Crew Management Module 
  1. Fixed an issue where an empty pdf was generated when users tried to generate reports. 
Competence Module 
  1. Fixed an issue where valid Competence was shown as expired when users checked the Competence attachments. 
  2. Fixed a design problem in the Privileges Editor where some checkboxes were swapped for the Delivery Condition privileges. 
Purchase Module (sometimes called Order Module) 
  1. Fixed an issue where users were not allowed to enter discount amount of 0%. 
User Competence 
  1. Fixed a routing issue where users were redirected to Admin Settings when trying to add new competences in their User Profile.
