The table overview provides a structured summary of all maintenance jobs. The columns in this table present essential information for each registered maintenance job in a clear and organized manner.
Description
The Maintenance-module plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of maritime vessels and equipment. It enhances maintenance operations and management, and contributes to compliance with regulatory requirements. This module serves as a central hub for planning, executing, and documenting maintenance tasks, promoting proactive maintenance practices for maritime safety.
Name
A user-defined, descriptive name or title for the maintenance job or task, providing a clear identification of the task's purpose or scope.
Job number
A unique identifier or reference number assigned to the maintenance job for tracking and organizational purposes, often used for quick job retrieval and reference.
Job type
Specifies the category or type of maintenance job, helping to classify tasks based on their nature (e.g., preventive maintenance, overhaul, service, inspection etc.).
Expiry type
Indicates the method used to determine when maintenance is due, such as time-based (e.g., annual inspection) or hour-based (e.g., after a specific number of operating hours).
Interval
The frequency or time period at which the maintenance job should be performed, providing a clear schedule for recurring tasks (e.g., every 6 months, or every 500 hours).
Time until expiry
The remaining time or duration until the maintenance job is due, based on the selected expiry type and interval, offering a indicator of pending tasks.
Due date / runtime
The specific date or runtime threshold when the maintenance job is scheduled to be completed, ensuring timely execution to maintain safety and equipment reliability.
Access
Displays the job positions and/or job position groups the maintenance job is restricted to. If this is blank, then anyone with access to the maintenance module can see this maintenance job.
Status
The status of the maintenance job (e.g., OK, expiring, expired).
Detailed view
Opening a maintenance task individually provides access to detailed information specific to that task. This allows users to inspect the specific maintenance job and it's critical details.
When you access the detailed view of an maintenance task, it provides additional options and information for the task.
These options are:
Job details
Name
A descriptive name for the maintenance job.
Placement
Indicates the location where maintenance task is located within the maintenance SFI-structure
Job number
You can use this number to set the sorting/priority order in the maintenance job list within the component.
Job type
The maintenance task type. This can be an inspection, service, overhaul, cleaning, other maintenance job, etc. The list of job types is defined by an administrator.
Description
Provides additional details and instructions regarding the maintenance job, offering clarity on the nature and scope of the task
Access
Access
Access to this maintenance job can be restricted to a set of job positions and/or job position groups. If this field is left blank, anyone with access to this module will be able to see this maintenance job.
Responsible
This will define the job position(s) and/or job position group(s) responsible for performing or overseeing this maintenance job. The person(s) responsible will also get notifications about this maintenance job, as well as see it in their due list once the maintenance job has reached the alert thresholds.
Service settings
Alert type
Associates the maintenance job with a particular alert type, specifying the kind of notification or alert to activate as the due date approaches (managed within the "Admin Settings").
Associates a digital form or checklist with the maintenance task. When the task is executed, the linked digital form must also be completed.
Depending on the maintenance job, interval/runtime expiry signifies either the scheduled time-based interval for task renewal (e.g., every 3 months) or the runtime threshold (e.g., after 500 operating hours) at which maintenance is due. Both the time-based interval and runtime threshold can be active simultaneously if deemed necessary.
Attachments
Allows users to attach relevant files, documents, or resources to the maintenance job for reference and guidance, ensuring that necessary information is readily accessible during task execution.
