1. Introduction and background


The Priviledge Editor allows you to manually control what priviledges or access rights should be associated with each Job Position.
When a user is assigned a Job Position he will get all the privileges associated with that Job Position.
There's a handfull of concepts that are helpful in understanding how to customize your Deparments Job Positions with the Privileges Editor. 
The way CCOMX is structured is with one part for regular users of the system, and an administrator settings side for tenant administrators.
The different modules of the system are under section headlines. Modules are designed to perform a specific set of tasks or provide a particular feature. Most of the time there's overlap between the User side of a module and the administrator settings side.



Inside each module each feature is broken down into components. Each of these components can be viewed as a system element, or system 'entity'. These components are what we want to limit or grant access to for users. Some components are specific to modules both admin and regular user side, other components are specific to only regular users and only admins. Further in this article we'll detail what privileges are associated with what type of user of the module. We'll also detail a set of privilege presets for roles and hierarchy structures common in maritime operations.


2. User Interface Overview


  1. All Privileges: User with the job position we're creating will have all possible privileges for the Departments module.
  2. Privilege Header: Name of Module (In this case the Departments module)
  3. All Privileges: User with the job position we're creating will have all possible privileges for the Departments module.
  4. Read: User with the job position we're creating will be able to see content of the Department module
  5. Create: User with the job position we're creating will be able to create new departments in the Department module
  6. Update: User with the job position we're creating will be able to edit departments in the Department module
  7. Delete: User with the job position we're creating will be able to delete deparments in the Department module


3.  Privileges  

3.1 Shared Privileges 

(Shared Privileges for Administrator and Regular Users)

User

  1. Read: User will be able to see user data throughout the app.
  2. Read Department: User will be able to see and select departments

Competence

  1. Read: Users need this to be able to renew Competences in their User Profile Competencies.  
  2. Read: Users will have Administrator access to the Competence module, under 'Crew Management & Pax'. 

User Competence 

  1. Read: User will have access to User Competencies in their User Profile.

Position Group

  1. Read: Users also need this to be able to create new Non-conformance entries.

3.2 Regular User 

Pax Overview

  1. Read: Users will be able to see Passengers in Passenger Overview, 'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.
  2. Create: Users will be able to add new Passengers in Passenger Overview, 'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.
  3. Update: Users will be able to edit Passengers in Passenger Overview, 'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.
  4. Delete: Users will be able to delete Passengers in Passenger Overview, 'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.

Planned Activity

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see Planned Activites in 'Shift and Manning', as a regular user.
  2. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create new Planned Activites in 'Shift and Manning', as a regular user.
  3. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update Planned Activites in 'Shift and Manning', as a regular user.
  4. Delete: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to delete Planned Activites in 'Shift and Manning', as a regular user.

Certificate

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see Certificates in the Certificates module, under  'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.
  1. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create new Certificates in the Certificates module,  'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.
  2. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update Certificates in the Certificates module, under  'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.
  3. Delete: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to delete Certificates in the Certificates module, under  'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.
  4. Renew: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to renew Certificates in the Certificates module, under 'Crew Management and Pax' as a regular user.

User Competence

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see Competencies in the their Profile Settings found in the Profile Picture Dropdown Menu.
  2. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create Competencies in the their Profile Settings found in the Profile Picture Dropdown Menu.
  3. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update Competencies in the their Profile Settings found in the Profile Picture Dropdown Menu.
  4. Delete: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to delete Competencies in the their Profile Settings found in the Profile Picture Dropdown Menu.
  5. Renew: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to renew Competencies in the their Profile Settings found in the Profile Picture Dropdown Menu.
  1. Read Matrix: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will have access to the Competencies Matrix under 'Shift and Staffing' as a regular user.
Users need User Competence Read, Create, Update, Delete, Renew to be able to see edit, update and delete users in in the Users & Pax module as Administrator.

Corrective Action

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see 'Corrective Actions' in the Maintenance module under 'Ship', as a regular user.
  2. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create new 'Corrective Actions' in the Maintenance module under 'Ship', as a regular user.
  3. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update 'Corrective Actions' in the Maintenance module under 'Ship', as a regular user.
  4. Delete: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to delete 'Corrective Actions' in the Maintenance module under 'Ship', as a regular user.
  5. Print: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to print 'Corrective Actions' in the Maintenance module under 'Ship', as a regular user.

Maintenance Job

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see Maintenance Jobs in the Maintenance module.
  2. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create new Maintenance Jobs entries in the Maintenance module.
  3. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update Maintenance Jobs entries in the Maintenance module.
  4. Delete: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to delete Maintenance Jobs entries in the Maintenance module.
  5. Print: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to print Maintenance Jobs entries in the Maintenance module.
  6. Perform: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to perform Maintenance Jobs in the Maintenance module.

Storage Product

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see Storage Products in the Storage module as a regular user.
  2. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create new Storage Products in the Storage module as a regular user.
  3. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update Storage Products in the Storage module as a regular user.
  4. Delete: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to delete Storage Products in the Storage module as a regular user.

Risk Assessment

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see Risk Assessment entries in the Risk ASsessment module as a regular user.
  2. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create new Risk Assessment entries in the Risk ASsessment module as a regular user.
  3. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update Risk Assessment entries in the Risk ASsessment module as a regular user.

Custom Form

  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see forms in the Forms module as an Adminsitrator.

Hashtag

This Privilege enbables the Secondary Sidebar Navigation Menus in the Administrator settings for the Documents module, Medicine module, Storage module, Risk Assessment module, Certificate module.
  1. Read: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to see Structures and Menu Items in the Medicine, Storage, Risk Assessment, Certificates and Documents module as Administrator.
  2. Create: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to create Structures and Menu Items in the Medicine, Storage, Risk Assessment, Certificates and Documents module as Administrator.
  3. Update: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to update Structures and Menu Items in the Medicine, Storage, Risk Assessment, Certificates and Documents module as Administrator.
  4. Delete: Users being assigned a Job Position with this Privilege will be able to delete Structures and Menu Items in the Medicine module, Storage module, Risk Assessment module, Certificates module, and Documents module as Administrator.

Quantity Type
