Competence
The list displayed in this tab depends on several elements of the system. Firstly, it's influenced by the user's assigned job position and department. Secondly, it takes into account the competence requirements that have been established for this particular job position. See
Competence-article for how this is set up.
Table overview
Once all these elements are correctly configured, the list will be dispayed, and automatically updated to mirror the settings defined in the competence section and the user's assigned position.
The Competence tab displays a list of competence for the user, alongside the current competence requirements specified for their job position.
Status
This uses color codes like green, yellow, or red to represent the current status of your competence. The color varies based on the competence's status.
Action
This may prompt you to take specific actions related to your competence, like renewing or registering a competence.
Competence code
This displays the predefined code for the specific competence in question.
Competence name
This displays the predefined name for the specific competence in question.
Requirement type
This displays the requirement type of the competence, which can be categorized as mandatory, preferred, optional, or not mandatory.
Expiry
This shows the expiration date of your competence, indicating when it will no longer be valid without renewal.
Days until expired
This provides a countdown to the expiration of your competence, helping you stay aware of upcoming renewals.
Registration complete
This informs you whether your competence registration or documentation is complete or missing.
To re-emphasize, the metadata and requirements are determined by the settings of each individual competence in the
"Competence"-section. If you have any questions or need clarification on this, please refer to the associated article for more information.
Register competence
To register any of the existing requirements from the list, click on the specific competence you want to register. This action will take you to the "Register competence" section where you can proceed with the registration process:
Register competence view. The system will automatically calculate the expiry date based on the issue date. For competences that have an expiration, you'll need to specify the validity period, and the system will use this value to calculate the expiry date.
From here, just enter the date of issue and attach a copy of the competence by clicking on the "Add attachment" button. This attachment will then be accessible to both users and administrators whenever they need to reference this specific competence.
To add a competence that is not part of the predefined competence requirements, return to the user's competence overview. Click on "New user competence" and select the desired competence to add. If a specific competence is not available, it must be added to the "Competence" database before it can be selected for inclusion:
