Connections:
The configuration employed here is linked across multiple sections within the safety management system, with its primary focus on functions related to crew management and activity planning.
Purpose:
The purpose of the activity database is to enable the system to automatically store and continiously add a value to a unique activity for each individual user.
The activities within the system are determined by the system administrator, but in most instances, there will always be a "Sailing" or "At Sea" activity. This particular activity serves as the primary means of monitoring an employee's amount of days on board the vessel/at sea during their employment. Once the employee has been working for some time, the administrator will be able to easily calculate the total number of days during which the employee was assigned to a specific activity (e.g. total amount of "Sailing"-days).
Overview:
The overview will display a list of available activities that can be selected within the system.
The table overview provides brief information about each activity, along with its associated values.
Detailed view over an activity
When you open a particular activity, you will find multiple options for modifying its values and making improvements to its configuration.
Name
Select a name for the activity
Departments and department groups
Choose the department(s) or department group(s) where you want to make this activity available for selection when planning an activity.
Is sailing
Enable this option if you want the system to automatically include this activity in the calculation when printing the "Total Sailing Time" in the "Shift and Manning" module (there is an option for this in the list when selecting "Print").
Confirm on board
Turn on this option if you want the employee with the assigned activity to be listed in the personnel on board list, and when it needs to be confirmed by the Captain.
If you don't select this option, the employee with this activity won't appear in the personnel on board list and will only be stored in the "Planned Activities" database.
